Rocco L. DiAntonio, 94 of Holmdel died at Bayshore Community Medical Center on Christmas Eve.

He was born and raised on Staten Island and had lived there until moving to Holmdel in 2010. Rocco was a meat specialist for Pathmark Super Markets for many years before retiring. 

He was a graduate of McKee High School and a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He loved his trips to Atlantic City. Rocco enjoyed bowling and while serving in the Coast Guard, Rocco was a competitive Boxer. Rocco had a beautiful vegetable garden that he enjoyed caring for.

Rocco loved having his family together, especially for Christmas Eve, seven fish dinner and Christmas Day, his house was open to anyone. He was a loving, kind person who gave back so much to family and community. 

He was predeceased by his wife, Antoinette DiAntonio in 2015,

Surviving are four children, Margie and her husband Anthony Maltese, Linda Bonamo, Larry and Rosemarie DiAntonio and Edward and Martha DiAntonio; his sister Theresa Massa; Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

Visitation Tuesday, December 28th, 9:30 until 11 am at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 am at St. Benedict’s RC Church, Holmdel. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island.

In consideration of the rise in Covid 19, Rocco’s family asks if you come to the funeral home to pay your respects, please do so and then exit the funeral home and go to the church. The family is requiring that you wear a face mask.
