Ronald Acquaviva, 80 of Holmdel died at his home on Tuesday, November 17th, surrounded by his family.
Ron was born and raised in Hoboken, where he attended grade school and graduated from Demerest High School. Following high school he joined his father in the refrigeration business, which began his long career in the construction industry. Ron moved to Holmdel and began Acquaviva Companies which became the largest builder of homes in Holmdel, and one of the largest in Monmouth County. Some of his favorite projects were the CPC building in Morganville and the ARC of Monmouth County building. Ron served on the Board of Trustees of CPC of Monmouth County.
Ron was always giving back and never wanted credit, he just did it for everyone, he never said no to anyone who asked for his help. He was a parishioner of the Church of St. Catharine, Holmdel.
His enjoyed deep sea fishing and boating, along with caring for his vegetable garden. Ron loved his home in St. Martin, where he and family took many trips together. He will always be remembered as larger then life, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Surviving Ron is his loving wife of 60 years, Francine; their sons and their wives, Christopher and Marsha of Manalapan, Gregory and Jeanne of Holmdel, Gerard and Jennifer of Millstone and Jeffrey of Holmdel; his adored grandchildren, Lauren and her husband Ry, Christopher, Ronald, Bianca, Anthony, Amanda, Ella, Matthew and Jake.
Visitation Friday, November 20th, 2:00 to 8:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial, Saturday, November 21st, 10:30 am, Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.
Contributions in Ron’s memory may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or Memorial Sloane Kettering www.mskcc.org.
