Rosa Giancaspro, 86, of Holmdel died peacefully at her home on Friday, December 20th.
She was born and raised in Molfetta, Italy. At 21 years old she moved to America and settled in Hoboken, NJ where she lived for 10 years before moving to Ridgefield, NJ where she lived for 30 years. In 2001 Rosa moved to Holmdel.
Rosa loved to cook. Some of her family’s favorite dishes were fish stew, homemade pizza, crab sauce and zucchini fritters. Her children and grandchildren were her life and she took great pride in being the family seamstress taking care of all their clothing needs. Rosa was a member of the Hazlet Senior Citizens Club and Half Century Club and enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Claire and Daniel Colucci of Oak Ridge, NJ and Joan and Peter Kliman of Holmdel, NJ. Her four grandchildren are Joseph, Samantha and her husband Daniel, Alexa and Katrina. She also had one great-grandchild, Lily.
Visitation Sunday Dec.22nd, 4 until 7 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 23rd 3 pm at the Church of St. Catharine, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.
