Rosa Linea, 78, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully Friday, December 30th.

Rosa was predeceased by her beloved husband Carmine R. Linea who died on April 1st, 2020

She was born in Porto Empedocle, Sicily  where she lived for 22 years before marrying her husband and emigrating to the United States. She settled in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn where she lived for an additional 50 years. In 2016 the pair moved to Red Bank where she spent her last years.

Rosa loved to cook, especially her Sunday sauce, baked ziti and homemade fresh pizza’s. Her favorite thing to watch was the Rosary on TV and pray. When she wasn’t you would find her watching Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune, or the Italian Network. Rosa loved to shop all year round, typically visiting TJ Maxx & Marshall’s . When the summer months came around she loved to swim and visit the beaches in Brooklyn & New Jersey with her family.

Rosa was a lady with style. She enjoyed her favorite White Diamond perfume, costume jewelry, her red nail polish and red lipstick. Rosa loved to spend time with her family telling funny stories about her childhood growing up in Sicily, as well as listening to Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra music.

Surviving are her three children, Charles Linea of Red Bank, Salvatore Linea of Staten Island and Joanne Shannon of Lincroft. Rosa is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Isabella and Annabella.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5th from 4pm to 8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Following this Rosa’s Entombment services will be held on Friday, January 6th, at 11 am at The Chapel of St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, in Marlboro.
