Salvatore Joseph Gendus, 45, of Holmdel, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 20.
Salvatore was born in Brooklyn in 1979, and raised in Staten Island. He graduated from Holmdel High School, and went on to follow his passion for music and established his business, Extravagant Entertainment. Through hard work and dedication, DJ Sal G, touched so many lives with his music.
Whether his hands were on the turntables or the piano keys, he was always entertaining. In his free time, he loved to listen to Bocelli and prepare gourmet meals for his family and friends. An avid Rangers fan, hockey was his go to sport to watch, play and teach. Most of all, Sal loved spending time with his family and friends, Sal was a caring soul with the largest heart that put everyone before himself.
He is survived by his parents, Henry Gendus, Sr. and Eileen Gendus, his daughter Giavanna Gendus, his siblings Patricia Gendus and her fiancé Dr. Joseph DiBenedetto, and Henry Gendus, Jr., his nephews Frankie, Vinny, and Anthony, and many other loving family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 25 from 4 pm – 8pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, March 26 at 11am at St. Gabriel Historic Church, 549 Route 520, Marlboro. Burial will follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery.
