Saralee Anne Siller Harrell, 72, of Forked River passed away on September 28th.
Saralee was born in Cranford, NJ and raised in Staten Island, NY. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy High School of Staten Island. She began her career at First Boston in NYC and went on to work for several financial firms, ultimately retired from Pershing, a subsidiary of Bank of New York Mellon.
Saralee loved to read, crochet and spend time with her friends and family. She was a devoted wife, daughter, niece, cousin, aunt, friend and coworker. She never missed a holiday or chance to celebrate with her family. She and her husband Mac shared an interest of Formula One racing and they tried to attend as many of those events as possible. Saralee also had an intense love of traveling and was always up for a vacation.
Saralee is predeceased by her beloved parents, George and Seara (Blohm) Siller, husband Robert (“Mac”) McGettrick and her cousin Kathleen (Blohm) King.
Saralee is survived by her cousin John Blohm; her nieces and nephews Patricia (King) Oberdorf and her husband Michael and their children Meghan and Ryan, Colin King and his wife Maggie, Brendan King, John Blohm and his wife Rosanna and their daughter Madelyn, and Kevin Blohm.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S Holmdel Road, Holmdel.
