Shirley LaSalle (nee Muchnick), born on June 11, 1928, in the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, in Shrewsbury, New Jersey. She was 97 years old.
Shirley led a long and fruitful life marked by dedication to her family and an unwavering work ethic. From her early years in the Bronx to her later life in New Jersey, she remained a steadfast presence for those around her. A hardworking woman throughout her life, Shirley balanced the demands of raising a family with a fulfilling professional career.
Among her many accomplishments, Shirley found particular pride in her role within the Human Resource Department at Ralph Lauren in Rutherford, New Jersey. Her time there stood out as a highlight in a lifetime of meaningful work experiences. She remained active well into her senior years, embodying resilience and commitment.
Family was always at the center of Shirley’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her son Brian Seiler and his wife Jodi; her daughter Stacee Seiler Samuels and son-in-law Michaels Samuels; grandchildren Andrew Seiler, Allison Lerner and her husband Matthew Lerner; Cole Samuels and Lee Samuels; and great granddaughter Sylvie Lerner.
Shirley was predeceased by her beloved son Randall Seiler; her husband Andrew LaSalle; her sister Irma Reffes and brother-in-law Howard Reffes; her brother Howard Muchnick; and her parents Charles and Esther Muchnick.
Her legacy lives on through the generations of family she nurtured with love and strength. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and cherished her.
