Simon A. Dixon, 76 of Aberdeen passed away peacefully on October 10th with his family by his side.
He was born in Nottingham, England to the late Stanley and Barbara Dixon.
Simon graduated from the University of Sussex with a master’s degree in industrial engineering. He also graduated from New York University with a PhD in psychology. Simon was also a professional boat captain. He was a successful businessman, always working on his business.
Simon was a gentle and intelligent soul who enjoyed life. He loved and dedicated his interest in mother nature. Simon was a care giver. His pleasures were fishing, diving, skiing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He loved watching the Discovery Channel, Gold Rush, and Formula One. He liked to go to the casino and play poker and black jack. Simon loved traveling, especially to the Virgin Islands, Canada, and Oregon with his family. I loved him from the bottom of my heart as his wife and very close partner. His friends and family knew Simon as a very kind hearted person. He extended his generosity to those who needed assistance. His generosity had no bounds. His presence will always be deeply missed, and he will be loved and remembered forever.
Simon is predeceased by his parents, his sister Elisabeth Ann Dixon, and his brother John Chadwick Dixon.
Surviving is his wife and partner of over 25 years, Flora Canales, his niece Sophia Dixon, his nephew Max Dixon, and his sister-in-law Sandra Sterry.
A private visitation was held at Holmdel Funeral Home on October 20, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Clement’s Roman Catholic Church on October 21, 2022.
