Stephen was a passionate, kind, and charismatic soul. The type of person you felt an indescribable connection to and sense of closeness, as if you’ve known him forever. He was magnetic, funny, selfless and will forever be missed. He was a leader and the embodiment of respect. He stayed true to his morals and his own personal code, carrying that through his life, bravely.

Stephen had the extraordinary ability to brighten any room with his warmth and charm, making everyone feel valued and cherished. He was fiercely loyal to family, cherished traditions, and saw holidays as times to bond and build memories with loved ones. His greatest joy came from seeing his loved ones happy. His life was a dedication to the lives of those around him.

Stephen always knew when to be a shoulder to cry on or when to make you laugh, especially during tough times. He was the image of how others should be treated. His funny, kind, inspirational and loving spirit will have a lasting and positive impact on everyone that was around him. His love we will never forget.

Visitation Tuesday, October 15th 3:00-8:00 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. Mass of Christian burial Wednesday, October 16th 11:00 am at St. Mary Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ 07722.

It's impossible to encapsulate who Stephen ("Trop") was in just words. He was larger than life, he lit up every room he walked into, and he could make anyone laugh, truly. You could pull a random person off the street and Trop would have them cackling. I met Trop in the first two days of classes our freshman year at Delaware, and we instantly became buddies. Little did I know that he would become one of my best friends and a person I could rely on for anything. He was so incredibly selfless, an amazing listener, and a 1000% trustworthy confidant. Trop never had a bad word to say about anyone. It cannot be understated how large of a loss this is because Trop was larger than life. He was one of the best people I will ever know and I am so lucky to have been able to call him my friend and a brother. Trop, I will miss our daily conversations; whether it was a FaceTime after a Lindor home run, you sending me Big Joe voice memos, us talking politics/current affairs, or just texting about bullshit like McDonald's breakfast. I love you. Rest in peace.
