Theresa A. Danza, 85 of Middletown, formerly of Brooklyn died at her daughter’s home in Lincroft, surrounded by the love of her family.
Mrs. Danza was born and raised in Brooklyn, where she attended Lincoln High School. She worked in Manhattan before meeting her husband Albert Danza. They were married on Sept. 15th, 1957 and spent 49 years together before his untimely passing in 2007.
To Theresa nothing was a greater joy and legacy than her large family. She loved cooking for everyone, and always seemed to make everyone’s favorite meals, like her Sunday sauce, Beef Barley soup, fish salad and of course homemade lasagna. Her grandchildren always got the special treat during sleepovers of Grandma’s famous silver dollar pancakes for breakfast!
She and Albert enjoyed traveling, to their home in Sunny Isles, Fl. And some of their favorite trips included Alaska, Hawaii, and Europe. When her children were young they were the original “glamping” family, having bed spreads and curtains, and never eating off of paper plates. Theresa enjoyed gardening and was a fierce scrabble competitor and was rarely topped by her competition.
Theresa will always be remembered for her last words always to her family as they said goodbye, “I Love you more.”
She was pre-deceased by her husband Albert Danza in 2007 and her sister, Judy Spataro.
Surviving are her Children, Albert Danza, Dominica and Steven Vullo, Charles and Maryann Danza, Robert and Anne Danza, Margaret and Nino Russo and Jennifer and Ted D’Alessandro.
