Thomas Durdack Jr., 86, of Aberdeen, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Born in Linden, New Jersey on February 13,1940, Tom was known for his hard work and loyalty and his love for reading, family, friends, golf, and watching NFL football and cheering on his beloved Carolina Panthers.
Tom is now peacefully reunited with his beloved wife Lorraine in heaven.
After graduating from Red Bank High School, he honorably served in the United States Army. After serving his country, he began his career with Holmdel Township Police Department where he retired as Sergeant. Tom also attended Brookdale College and earned his Associate’s degree.
Tom loved enjoying life to the fullest. He loved his trips to Vegas with Lorraine ,visiting his family and Grandchildren, his golf outings with his friends, listening to Neil Diamond, playing cards at the Elk’s with his friends, eating at The Old Homestead and the Borgota, visiting his long time friends at CA Equipment and enjoying the afternoon with his friends at Huddys.
“Sarge” was predeceased by his wife Lorraine, his father Thomas And his mother Lillian. He is survived by his sister Diana Moustafa , his children Jennifer Turner and Hal, Thomas Durdack and Kim, Joseph Durdack and Carrie Warner and Danny, and six grandchildren Lauren (Mitch), Rebecca, Sam, Ben, David (Savannah), and Isabella.
Visitation will be on May 19, 2026 from 1-2:30 with a service following at 2:30 at Holmdel Funeral Home followed by entombment at Holmdel Mausoleum.
