Thomas G. Golden, 92, of Monmouth Beach, NJ and Fort Pierce, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3rd at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born in Manhattan, he resided in both Staten Island, NY and Colts Neck, NJ until settling in Monmouth Beach. Paramount to Tom was his family, friends, and country.
Predeceased by his first wife, Regina (nee Wielki) and his sister, Lorraine VanName.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Barbara Golden; his children and their spouses, Kathleen and Greg White, Wall; Thomas and Nancy Golden, Monmouth Beach; Michael and Connie Golden, Farmingdale; MaryAlice Golden, Oneida, NY; Debra and Scott Knox, Ocean Township; and Patrick and Patricia Golden, Monmouth Beach; 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his niece Maureen and his nephew Floyd VanName.
Tom was a proud veteran of the US Navy, a retired Communications Specialist with AT&T, and a retired Longshoreman. An avid athlete, he enjoyed lifeguarding, football, sailing, golf, and tennis.
Visitation Tuesday, September 7th, 4 – 8pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, September 8th, 10:30am, Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Private entombment.
