Sorry to hear about Aunt Virgie passing. She was a kind, sweet aunt to the Trotter gang from Miami. I loved seeing the wedding pictures of her and Uncle Donnie. May she rest in peace. Sending good vibes and prayers to you all.

My deepest condolences to Uncle Donnie and to all my dear cousins. Aunt Vergie was such a special person with a loving kind heart and a genuine spirit. I will miss her laugh her smile and the twinkle in her blue eyes and I will always be grateful for the love and support she gave my Mom. Aunt Vergie will be missed very much but always remembered.

Steve Schwalm left a message on May 10, 2022:
"Aunt Vergie" was one of the kindest and warmest people I ever met. She opened her home and welcomed me from the first day I met her. I fondly remember many days spent at the farm, quiet walks out behind the house, playing in the pool, the parties and gatherings and feasts, all under her watchful eye and direction. She'll be dearly missed here, but I have confidence she is in a better place now and I look forward to seeing her again!

Sincere condolences and prayers to Jimmy and her entire family. What a great loss. I didn't not get the honor to meet Mrs. Veronica, but to work with and know her son is a delightful blessing.

My Aunt Vergie was truly one of a kind. She was wonderfully unpretentious, always honest and forthright, and she had a great way of laughing! I'll always remember how she and my Uncle Donnie would trust me to hop on the old Ford tractor and cut the fields at the farm when I was just a kid and how they let me drive my mother's '62 Buick LeSabre around the farm's back roads a few years before I even got my license. But the best was when the three sisters (Vergie, my mom and my Aunt Marion) would get together for their all-day Christmas cookie marathons. I can almost smell the cookies baking in the oven! You will be missed, Aunt Vergie. I love you.

I was so sorry to learn of my Aunt Vergie’s passing. As a ten year old, my first visit to Florida was to attend her and Donnie’s wedding with my parents so long ago. But I have even earlier memories of her when she visited us in Jersey City and took care of me as a five year old. I also have happy memories of overnights spent at the beautiful McGee farm in Holmdel. What an idyllic place that was!I’ll always remember her zest for life, her energy, her enthusiasm, and her wonderful sense of humor. I will certainly miss her kidding around and her reminders of how much weight I was putting on. Rest in peace, Aunt Vergie, and thanks for being such a loving, caring person.

When my mother passed away almost 40 years ago, her sister Vergie took the roll of mother on with a firm hand and embracing heart . I was always part of the inner family and am forever grateful to have had her in my life.
Suzanne Gray left a message on May 7, 2022:
From childhood following mother's brother's passing, to the NYC World's Fair, her recognition and stabilizization to young children cannot be overlooked. There are too many memories, previous to Grandmother Marie's passing in 2002, to recall. Prior to 9/11, though I returned from a solo trip on the NJ Transit, to NYC, "It's too strange, it does not seem to improve, for the 2000 millennium, and it was awfully expensive punishment to visit." To that she replied, "That's what your father said !" She lived a very full life that could not be pigeonholed by "popular culture" as a dedicated mother and grandmother. She promoted life over the culture of death. She will be missed by many.
