Paul Di Maio left a message on March 20, 2012:
Dear Chancie, Beverly, Al, Terry, Palma and Vincent, We will all miss Uncle Vincent greatly. We have such wonderful memories of Saturday lunches and holidays when everyone was always arguing. At the end of the day, though, it was all hugs and kisses, and we looked forward to the next time we'd see each other again. It's been a while, far too long, since we've seen everyone together and Uncle Vincent's passing brought us back to a better time. He'll be missed and I know he's being well cared for in his new home. Love, Paul, Theresa, Christopher, Alyssa, Samantha and Michael Di Maio

Dear Aunt Chancey, Bev & Terry, Al & Palma, Please accept our deepest sympathy. Like the taste of a fine wine, we are savoring the memories. Wasn't it only a few years ago, on a Saturday morning like this one but perhaps a bit warmer, when Uncle Vincent would arrive at our house for a cup of coffee on his way to the home constructions of Aunt Chick or Uncle Rudy. He might have Uncle Sanguine or Bangy or Al or Dad in tow. If I was lucky and ready to go, he would let me tag along too. Al and I would pile into the back of the old green pickup truck and bump on over to the new homes being built an eighth of a mile away. We'd dig in the piles of sand, play hide and seek around the stacks of wood, block and brick, and have dirt bomb fights on top of the excavated mounds around the foundation. It was really fun! Once in a while we would ask to help out with the real construction work and were allowed to stack block, brick and 2x4's in the proper locations or even help mix cement!! Around lunch time we'd head back to the house for a few potato and egg sandwiches. At the end of the day, we would again pile into the truck and head to the Sweet Shoppe to grab a bottle of YooHoo!!! As Mom used to sing "Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end..." Today it feels like one of those Saturday mornings when I slept thru the coffee visit and Uncle Vincent went to the job without me. We all miss him!!!! Love, Willie "LumpLump", Carol, William and Marc
