Virginia C. Senoran, M.D., 89, of Wall, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 19th surrounded by family.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Dr. Senoran studied medicine at the University of Santo Tomas Medical School in the Philippines, becoming a pathologist. She emigrated to the United States and began her medical career at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck. She later would serve several North Jersey hospitals. Eventually, her practice took her to Point Pleasant Hospital and Brick Hospital before she became a partner at Ocean County Laboratories.
Dr. Senoran loved cooking native Filipino dishes. Her specialty dishes, pancit and egg rolls, were always a favorite at parties. During her years of retirement, she and her husband, Carlos, enjoyed day trips to Atlantic City. They also enjoyed their weekly lunch dates, eating at local restaurants Scarborough Fair and Four Winds. Lunch dates were extra special when they were accompanied by their grandchildren. And always with blank cards in hand, Dr. Senoran loved playing the lottery, especially Mega Millions and Powerball, always hoping to win a big jackpot.
Dr, Senoran will be remembered as a strong, very intelligent woman who was caring, giving, loving and a friend to all.
Dr. Senoran was predeceased by her parents Alfredo Marin and Virginia Rosales Carlos; three brothers, Alfredo, Edgardo and Jose Carlos.
In addition to her husband of 54 years, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, France and Jason Dulow, Holmdel; two sisters, Iluminada Asperilla, Philippines, and Josefina Zamora, NJ; and her two beloved grandchildren, Haley and Jeremy.
Visitation will be Friday, December 27th, 4 to 7 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A private committal service will be held at St. Catharine’s Mausoleum, Wall, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
