Wayne H. Lamken, 79, of Holmdel, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31.
He was born in Newark to the Late Dorothy and John Lamken in 1944, where he was raised a few years before his family moved to Lincroft. He attended and graduated Middletown Township School in 1963 and immediately began working. He worked for Singer, EAI, and Lavoie Laboratories as a machinist before becoming owner and operator for over 55 years to his pride and joy in life, Beeler Tree Service. Wayne married in 1965 and began a family shortly after moving to Holmdel, where he settled.
Wayne was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. His true passion was his business, he dedicated his life around it. Wayne was very social. He was a member of Bungy Hunting Club in PA, the Patten Avenue Marina, and enjoyed a frequent stop at the VFW and Huddy’s. Wayne loved everyone, and everyone loved Wayne. Wayne especially enjoyed spending time at his Pennsylvania home and with his grandson for dinners.
He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn Lamken and his daughter Tracey Lamken.
Surviving is his son, Dwayne Lamken of Tinton Falls, his sisters Barbara Gebhardt and Diane Frantz, his grandson Landen Lamken, and Many Loving Nieces and Nephews. He will greatly be missed by all.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6 from 4-8pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S.Holmdel Road Holmdel, with a funeral home service being offered at 7:15pm.
