William C. Kaiser , 69, of West Long Branch died Monday, February 22 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
Bill was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and was raised in Eugene, Oregon. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was stationed at Fort Monmouth in New Jersey, where he met his beautiful wife, Cheryl, at First Assembly of God in Shrewsbury in 1971. They married in 1973. After his military service ended, he was employed for twenty-five years by Concurrent Computer Corporation (formerly Perkin Elmer) as an electronic technician. For the last twenty-one years, he’s been employed by CMC (formerly Gerdau-Ameristeel) in Sayreville, NJ.
Bill enjoyed freshwater fishing, tinkering with cars, sailing and jet skiing, but, most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a true Renaissance man, who was able to build, repair or restore many different things. He enjoyed helping anyone who needed his assistance and would do anything for anybody. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he truly enjoyed spending every minute he possibly could with them. He brought so much joy to everyone who knew and loved him. Bill loved God above all else. His well-worn Bible was his most treasured possession, and he genuinely lived by the Word of God. He was an active member of The Church of Grace and Peace in Toms River and enjoyed worshipping there on Sundays with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Gwyn Kaiser, of Eugene, OR and his sister, Ellen Karnosh, of Portland, OR.
Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Sassano Kaiser; their children, Joshua and Renee Kaiser, Lanoka Harbor, NJ and Kami Kaiser, West Long Branch; two grandchildren, Jared Kaiser and Malea Kaiser; brothers, Stan Kaiser, Lebanon, OR and Richard Kaiser and his wife, Esther, Eugene, OR.; brother-in-law, Christopher Dean, Colts Neck, NJ; sister-in-law, Bente Sassano, Little Egg Harbor, NJ, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
William will be interred in a private ceremony with military honors at the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, February 27 at 2:00PM at The Church of Grace and Peace, 1563 Old Freehold Rd., Toms River. Guests will be received, who wish to pay their respects to the family, followed by the service beginning at 3:00PM. For those who are unable to attend in person but wish to view the service, a live stream will be available at https://youtu.be/7HJTDpopJHc.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to ministries that Bill was passionate about by supporting the Aliyah Fund or the Israel Relief Fund at Friends of Israel https://www.foi.org/get-involved/support-the-work/.
