Yuanmo Li, 103, of Middletown, passed away on Sunday, March 2.
Yuanmo was born and raised in Scichuan China in 1921 to the late Yinhai Li and Shixian Wan. After high school, she received a bachelor’s degree from Guanhua University. She was a college professor at the Guizhou University of Finance & Economics. She and her husband married in 1947 and began their family. In 1989, they moved to Boston to be with their daughter and later moved to Middletown where they have been since.
Yuanmo was such a wise and kind person; she enjoyed caring people and small animals. She also enjoyed reading newspapers, novels and magazines; and spending time in parks and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed the company of her family.
She is predeceased by her parents and her husband Chuxiang Chen.
Surviving are her daughters Bingrong Chen of Hazlet, and Bingchuan Chen and her husband Joe Zhou of Middletown, and her son Bingyu Chen and his wife Xiaoge Wang of Beijing, China, and three beloved grandchildren Zhizhi, Joan, and Xianghao Chen.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, March 8 from 12:30pm – 2:30pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Burial will follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.
