Dominic A. Rubino, 94, Red Bank passed away Wednesday, October 14th. Mr. Rubino was born and raised in Long Branch, moving to Red Bank 30 years ago. He was a Mail Carrier in Long Branch for 40 years. Mr. Rubino was a communicant of St. James RC Church, Red Bank. Mr. Rubino was a Navy veteran during WWII, serving in the Fleet Air Wing 3 and 12, Aviation Ordinance Mate 1st Class and Bow Gunner. He received the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Rubino was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His family was the greatest joy of his life. Mr. Rubino was pre-deceased by his parents, Mary & Frank Rubino and his siblings, Peter Rubino, Joseph Rubino, Carmella Bruno and Anthony Rubino. Surviving is his wife of 68 years, Grace; his children, Michael & Nancy Rubino, Boston, MA and Donna & Louis Miceli, Eatontown; grandchildren Danielle & Blair Robbins, West Long Branch, Michael & Lindsey Miceli, Hoboken, Dr. James Miceli, New York City, Michael Rubino, Boston and Eric Rubino, Boston; great grandchildren, Olivia, Lily and Madelyn; sisters-in-law, Marge Solimine and Rose DiCecco; brothers-in-law Anthony Cefolo and Rocco DiCecco and many nieces & nephews. Visitation Friday, October 16th 4 pm – 8 pm at Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, October 17th 10:00 am at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven. Entombment will follow in Woodbine Mausoleum, Oceanport.
