Eleanor Van Note Powell, of Tinton Falls died at home after a long battle with cancer.
Eleanor was an active member of Embury United Methodist Church in Little Silver for many years. She volunteered at Riverview Medical Center in the Cancer Center.
She was predeceased by her parents, Helen & Jacob Van Note. Eleanor is survived by her loving husband Harold F. Powell; her children Elizabeth Powell & her partner Jeff Campbell and Harry Powell & his wife Angella; and her brother James Van Note & his wife Yvone.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August 11th, 11:00 am at the Embury United Methodist Church, 49 Church Street, Little Silver to celebrate her life. A luncheon will follow at the Church Hall immediately following her service. Burial will be private on Monday, August 13th. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to United Embury Methodist Church.
