Dear Arline and family, I am thankful to have had the privilege of finally meeting Don after hearing of his kind, compassionate, and gentle heart. What a gentleman. He will continue to live in each one of you who loved him so dearly. Praying for you on this day and the days to come. Prayers to be comforted and encouraged and also inspired to bring in Don's gentle and kind example where you go. "May God's kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven." In the love of Jesus, Toni Rypkema

I remember Don from Thomasville Furniture. I replaced him around 1976. He had a fabulous reputation and he was a hard act to follow. I remember his retailers just loved him. His fellow sales reps all respected him. He will be missed by our furniture industry

Don was a great guy. quick wit, loved to laugh, LOVED his family. I shared several lines with him, I remember (kind of) doing a taste test of good vodkas one evening at the furniture market. Don is a very important part of the memories I have of "the good old days" He will be missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To all of our dear family members and true fans of our beloved 'UNCLE DON' please remember that we all love you and share the heartache of losing him. Uncle Don was one in a million, part of a generation of elders in our family that can never be replaced. I for one am so grateful to have been a part of his life and benefited from the example he and his contemporaris set for us.... It's a beautiful living tribute to walk in the same way he lived his life, with love, compassion, faith and humor. May we all make him proud. Carry on cousins. Carrying you in our hearts, LOVE Deb, Sara, Jessie, Tyler and Jack Magee
