Daniel K. Buck, 31 of West Long Branch passed away suddenly as a result of Crohn's Disease on Wednesday, January 8th at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Dan was born in Long Branch and lived most of his life in West Long Branch. He graduated from Shore Regional High School in 2000. He was a Wildlife Specialist working for Critter Ridder, West Long Branch. Surviving is his mother and father, Kathy and Kurt Buck, West Long Branch; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Tara Buck, West Long Branch and Melissa and Engin Incekara, Ocean Twp.; and his best fury friend, Kenzie. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 12th, 2 until the time of the funeral service at 4 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Contributions in memory of Dan may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, 733 Third Avenue, Suite 510, New York, NY 10017. I don't really have any one particular story about Dan that stands out, mostly because every memory that I have of him is a good one. I have never met a kinder, gentler soul. He was a guy who had a permagrin on his face, and his smile was contagious. You would never find him angry or down about anything, even in his worst moments. If you were down about anything, he was the one that you would want to be around because he always had an open heart and open ears. And he would make fun of you until you had to laugh. He also brought so many people together. So many of us hung out with him in the garage that I still can't even believe it. I still can't believe how many people he knew, and whose hearts he touched. Everybody loved him, the girls and the guys...all his friends, his friends' friends...even our parents. There isn't a person in the world that knew Dan Buck who didn't love him. From parties to concerts, from long sloppy drunk nights out at the bar to quiet nights just hanging out having a heart to heart...I will cherish all of those memories. I love you and miss you, my friend.
