A true Irish Lady – May she rest in God's Peace MARGARET R. 'Peg' BRUS (nee O'Leary) 75, of Fairview, passed away on Monday evening November 8th, 2010. Born in Jersey City, Margaret lived in Fairview and had relatives in Monmouth County. Peg was an Accounts Payable Manager at Aetrex Worldwide, in Teaneck. She was a member of the Irish American Association of Bergen County, and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in North Bergen, N.J. She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1985, by her sister Eileen Haney, and by her brother Jack O'Leary. She is survived by her sister in law Joan O'Leary, brother in law Robert Haney Sr., brother in law Walter Bernardini, her niece Elizabeth Gallagher, nephews Sean O'Leary and Robert Haney Jr., and by numerous godchildren and close friends. Visitation will be on Friday, at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at St. Catharines R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel, at 10:00A.M. Interment will then follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Donations in her memory may be made to the America Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons Avenue, Syracuse, N.Y. 13057 . I met Peg in freshman year at St. Al's H.I. School and have been friends all these years. When I think of her, I remember her quick irish wit. She had strong oponions about everything and she let you know how she felt about anything and everything She had many long time friends.I left Jersey City right after graduation and over the years I was always happy to see her and it was like picking up as if it were only yesterday.
