GLORIA G. HORN, 84, of MIDDLETOWN, passed away at home on Monday, March 30th, 2009. Born in California, PA., she lived in New York City prior to moving to Middletown, NJ in 1970. She worked for 22 years as a Systems Analyst for IBM in New York City , retiring in 1973. She received her Masters degree from Penn State . She was a parishioner of St. Catharine’s Church, where she was very active. Mrs Horn loved crossword puzzles, and religiously did the N.Y.Times crossword everyday. She was an avid reader and crazy about the theatre, and the Opera where she had season tickets. She performed at Ft. Monmouth in the play “Driving Miss Daisy”. She and her husband traveled extensively, and was a fan of the New York Giants. According to her husband, she was a wonderful person. Surviving is her husband Marvin Horn, a brother Dan Gallo and his wife Jean, two brother in laws Ed Horn and Sherman Fromme and his wife Berta, and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Mrs. Horn’s name to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
