Debra Acceturo, 50 a life long resident of Hazlet, died on Wednesday June 29th at the Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Debra was a parishioner of St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel, where she taught CCD. She enjoyed raising money for animal rescues and volunteering to help the rescues, especially the Bulldog Rescue Society. Debra loved all animals. She is pre-deceased by her father, Raymond Rodzewicz. Debra is survived by her loving husband, Bill O'Neill; her caring daughters, Gina Loza, Glendale, NY and Kayla Acceturo, Hazlet; her adored grandson, Jay Velasuez, and her loving mother, Gloria Rodzewicz. Visitation Thursday, July 7th, 4-8 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian Burial, Friday July 8th ,10:30 am at St. Benedict RC Church, Holmdel. Deb you were only in my life for a little over 2 years but i have learned so much from you in those 2 years. We became Best Friends that immediately turned in to Sisters.We had this immediate Bond that nothing or no one could break. You opened your home to me and my family to come up to anytime we wanted to come enjoy the beaches and quality time with you and your family and furbabies. As you said i never experienced the real jersey beaches until i come up there and you were definitely right. You have done so much for me and taught me so much from life in general to how to help your fur grand daughter Rosey,I will never forget anything you taught me. We have so many amazing memories that i will cherish forever. I miss you so much, we shared everything together and talked everyday all the time. You truly took a piece of me with you Sis.Thank you for trusting me with you and your family. I made promises to you and I will continue to keep them forever Sis. Deb, You were always a caring and thoughtful person who went beyond to do nice things for others. I remember when you and my son were in high school and you did most of his homework so he could pass. When you both went to your proms together and how happy you both were. I'm crying as I write this knowing that neither you or him is on this earth anymore. It is heart breaking to think back, even though so many of the good memories,will stay with me the rest of my life. Debby, may you rest in peace Sweetheart and kiss my Son for me. I love you kid.
