Timothy C. McDonald (48) of Wanamassa ,N.J. passed away on Dec 2,2011 . Tim had been a proud and dedicated Sgt. in the U.S. Marine Corps. for 8 yrs. and was honorably discharged in 1991 after doing an additional 2 yrs. in the reserves for Desert Storm . Tim loved fishing, reading, writing and listening to country music, but his biggest passion was being a father to his 3 kids. Tim is survived by his daughters Casey, 19, Cheyan, 13 and his son Timothy 10, who will now carry on his father name. He is also survived by his sister Dianna and brothers Shawn, Eric and Tom. Memorial gathering will be Tuesday Dec. 13th, 11:30 AM until the time of the service at 1:30 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Tim was my best friend growing up. He was really like an older brother/ family member to me....and still is to this day. That does not change just because someone passes.. I lost my father in a tragic accident at 7 years old. My friendship with Tim is the only thing residing in my memory through, what must have been a terrible thing for a child to have to live through. You see we were both going through some rough stuff at home. I remember fishing riding dirt bikes and WALKING absolutely everywhere with Tim. My mom absolutely loved Tim as we all did. She was supportive of Tim until she passed. As life is.... we sort of drifted our own ways. GOD BLESS YOU TIM! I am so so sorry to hear this news so late....I would have been at the service brother. I want Tims wife and children to know they have someone (me) who will do whatever he can for them...I am shocked and devastated at the news. I have lived through enough of this to know there is nothing more to say....nothing helps but time at this point. Goodbye Tim....you are sorely missed. Your Best Friend Mike

Semper Fi brother! Ooorah! Tim we had a lot of struggles, fights, disagreements, but one thing you left with me is that toughness. You made me hard, you made me a man as crazy as our situation was you kept apart of you in me. I never wanted to admit that to you but we tried. I remember the days we wrestled and played ball, taught me about the girls, fished, and took me and tango out camping. Those are the memories I choose to keep.
