Margaret “Peggy” Henry, 72 of Long Branch, passed away Wednesday, January 15th surrounded by her family.

Peggy was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. She worked at Earle Naval Base then at Fort Monmouth where she retired as a Budget Analyst.

Peggy could always be found down by the water reading on her Kindle. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, playing on the slot machines and lunching at the Sitting Duck. Her true joy was her son, Raymond.

Peggy was predeceased by her husband Raymond W.; her sister Mary Ann Bott and her parents Frank & Marguerite Giambrone. Surviving is her son Raymond W. Henry, II and his fiancée Rachael Brunner; her brother & sister-in-law Frank & Betty Ann Giambrone; her sisters Vivian Elliott and Leona Coville and many loving nieces and nephews.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Peggy. While I knew her for years, I had the opportunity to work directly with her during our last few years at the US Army Garrison and she was an outstanding partner and manager of all things financial. Sending our heartfelt condolences to her son and family.

We’re heartbroken with the loss of Aunt Peg. We were blessed to have her unconditional and unwavering love and support for so many years. She was the most genuine person who told it like it was. We’ll always think of her with a smile, remembering her quick wit and sense of humor, but most of all, her example of what true family is meant to be. Rest in peace Aunt Peg.

We were deeply saddened to hear of Peggy's passing. Peggy and my sister, Dorothy, or Dottie to Peg, enjoyed a loving and sisterly relationship up to the moment Dorothy lost her battle with breast cancer on 8/08/10. Peggy was so special to our family and we have remained in contact to share family news. The last conversation I had with Peggy was about her current illness, but she sounded upbeat & hopeful, and I told her she would be in our hearts and prayers. Hopefully, Dottie & Peggy are hugging each other again up in heaven as we dearly miss them in our daily lives‼

We are very saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Peggy. She was a great supporter of strength, wisdom and guidance. I shall never forget the fun times and laughter we shared. Rest In Peace my friend. Love you. Love and sympathy to all of the family. Ray, you were her world...she loved you so much.
