Leon 'Buddy' Sharp, 74 a life long resident of Long Branch, died at his home on Sunday, April, 3rd surrounded by his family. Buddy retired from R. J. Guzzi Roofing, Long Branch. Following retirement his focus became his family, fishing, crabbing and gardening. He enjoyed helping his children by spending many days with his granddaughters and being a part of their lives. Buddy loved to organize holiday dinners and family gatherings, so he could be with the most important people to him. Buddy's greatest love was his wife of 47 years, Susan. They were always together, Buddy was happy to take Susan each day to work, pick her up for lunch and then pick her up at the end of the day to go home and spend their time together. He was a devoted, husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife Susan Sharp; their children, Evan and his wife Sarah Sharp, Ocean, Stacy and her husband Eric Simms, Freehold; his brother, Ronald Sharp, Long Branch; his adored grandchildren, Emily, Sophie, Allison and Stella. Visitation Wednesday, April 6th, 4 – 8 pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral services, Thursday, 11 am at the funeral home.
