Lee Carol Konrad (nee Crawford), 73 years old passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank, NJ. Born in Kearney, she lived in Morganville for over 40 years. Lee graduated from Keyport High School and attended Trenton State College and Brookdale Community College. She worked as a General Manager for Western Monmouth Utilities Authority or 20 years retiring in 2002. Mrs. Konrad was a member of Old Brick Reformed Church, Marlboro for 34 years – during her years at Old Brick Lee served as Deacon, Elder, Treasurer and Classis Delegate and was recognized in 2012 for her ministry in the church and community. She was an active member of the Marlboro Republican Club for many years, an avid Giants fan and a loyal member of her Friday night card group. Her good natured presence is accompanied by a genuine pleasantness and a welcome sense of humor. Lee is perceived as a 'trooper' with a great spirit and outlook inspiring to all. She was predeceased by her parents, George D Crawford and Janet L Crawford. She is survived by her husband of 46 years William L Konrad, her daughter Karin L Konrad, her brother George H Crawford, godson George Solujich and six nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 1:00 to 5:00PM at Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Service will be offered Monday July 1, 2013 at 11AM at Old Brick Reformed Church.
