Sergio Dos Santos , 21, of Freehold NJ died at home on Saturday December 26th after a long illness. He was born in Long Branch NJ. Sergio was a student at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. He was a 2007 graduate of Colts Neck High School where he was a member of the Soccer Team. He was an avid soccer player and car enthusiast. Surviving are his parents Antonio and Maria Dos Santos, a brother Marco and a sister Otilia Dos Santos, his godfather and cousin Carlos Moreira, and many aunt, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM at the Holmdel Funeral; Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, and on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 PM at St. Marys Catholic Church, Highway 34 at Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM at Church. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel. I remember the cabin trip we took with Uncle Rob (Peppards) we had a blast ill never forget Sergio trying to throw a sticky wad of marshmallows at a tree. He was a riot and a joy to be around.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Dos Santos family. I worked with Sergio at CNV and kept in touch after he left. He always brought a smile to my face when we talked, and ill cherish those memories.

I was not able to know Sergio for that long of a time, we worked together at the assisted livivng in colts neck as servers. We were always together at work, we were a great tag team that I will always remember. I'll never forget on Labor Day when we got fired from that job for driving up to the colts neck golf course and stealing golf balls off the green and driving balls into the berry fields of delicious orchards. Sergio was a great friend but most of all he was like a brother to me. You will always be in our hearts, Love always, Steven, Trista, And Noelle.

Dear Maria, Tony, and Otilia, We know there aren't any words that can ease the pain & sorrow in your hearts right now. Since we were brought together as our children couageously battled this disease, Sergio and your family have been a blessing. Sergio fighting his battle had a heart to touch others regardless of what he was going through. He selflessly comforted Johnny by befriending him, teaching him how to cope, and having some fun together. Johnny wrote on his facebook that he lost one his best friends and will miss him a lot. We want you know he expressed to Johnny his love and admiration for his family. He told him how much your love and support meant to him. He expressed to Johnny and Nixza that seeing your dedication to him; he learned that besides all the great things in life the most important thing was to have your family to love.
