My sincere sympathies to Pat and James and family during this time of sorrow, may you draw comfort from the Holy Bible in order to cope. God promises that all our tears from our eyes will be wiped out when death and pain is eliminated and when there occurs a resurection back to life in the future. May the God of all comfort bring peace to your mind and heart with these promises.

We just want you to know that we all wish we could be there with you please know that we are in spirit. I deeply regret not having the opportunity to meet your mother in person. I grew up feeling as though I knew her through the stories told by my dad. He loved and respected her very much as did my mom. We all send our love. Your Hurleys in Peoria, Illinois

Mom, you were the best. You should've had 100 kids for all the grown-ups now who tell me that you were like a second mother to them...and some even more than that. I couldn't have asked for a better parent. I will miss you every day of my life but you have instilled independence in me since I was very young and I will continue to practice it. I love you very much.

Pat — Please accept my condolences on your loss. While I never met your Mom, stories related by Patty and Tom paint a picture of a vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest until time slowed her down. She leaves behind a legacy of love, which she shared abundantly with those around her. Peace to you, Parker, and the many others with whom she shared her life and kindness. Love, Martha

I am so sorry to hear Gladys has passed. I worked with your mom for many years at Bahrs. We loved your mom. I used to call her Gladyola. God bless her soul and may God give you strength to go through this difficult time. Just remember Mom is at peace now and we all will see her one day in Heaven.

Patty, I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. I worked with Gladys at Bahrs for 8 years and I always considered her family. I always said that I had several mothers through my teens and early twenties and Gladys was one of my "Bahrs" mothers. She will be missed, but it makes me smile to know that she is reunited with her favorite bartender now.
