Barbara Rose Wilson, 99 of Red Bank, passed away of natural causes on Thursday December 24, 2020.
Barbara was a lifelong resident of Matawan and was a graduate of Matawan High School. She met her husband Edward during her high school years and was predeceased by him after a wonderful 61 years. Barbara was a woman of many talents. She loved to crochet and restore antiques and paint with oils, having many of her paintings on display at the Atrium @ Navesink Harbor where she resided for the past 12 years.
Barbara was a working mother and spent many years as a dental assistant-office manager at the dental practice of Wallace and Jack McCue. She was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother with a strong determination to support and help her family.
Barbara is predeceased by her husband Edward, and her son Edward “Ted” Wilson. She is survived by her son Wayne Wilson and his wife Frances, her grandchildren Loryn Wilson Schiffer, Dawn Lolla, and Edward “Ted” Wilson Jr.; her great grandchildren, Brittany and Emily Steinhausen, Nathan and Ryan Wilson and Wilson and Porter Schiffer; her great great grandchildren Zoey and Logan Rodriguez; her nephews Gene Gall and George Chandler; and her nieces Barbara Case, and Janis Giordano. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Paul Porter, Thelma Chandler, Yvonne Gall and nephew Jack Gall.
Barbara’s family will have a private funeral service and entombment due to Covid 19 regulations. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
