Scott left a message on January 27, 2021:
Sal, Danielle, Mark, Ryan, and Sophia, I met Gina at the Costco in Bricktown on Saturday July 2, 1016. We have been friends since. I have enjoyed her humor, banter and her stellar parking abilities, Since I’ve fixed her tires and gotten new rims for her. I’m glad she found a decent paying job in her field of work. I took her to AC to see comedy shows, and concerts. 38 Special, Taylor Dayne, plus more. I did what I could to get her out of the house. She was a very caring person. Compassionate. She enjoyed my love and also had a similar love of animation, movies, music, various tv shows . With out a doubt, she loved animals, especially her cats. Every day I look at my phone expecting her to call or text me, and sometimes texting me more than 3 words which was a ongoing joke with me and her. She will be missed, I miss my friend now…… Scott
Jim Kuhnert left a message on January 27, 2021:
I worked very closely with Gina for a rather short period of time, but she left a lasting impression. As so many have already expressed here, she had the hugest heart and was the sweetest person. I remember long conversations that started out about a work issue, but quickly turned to a whole other topic. She was never short of knowledge on every subject. She was also such a talented graphic artist and in her short time with us created some great work. I send my most heart felt condolences to Gina's family and loved ones. Peace.

My deepest condolences to Cousin Sal, Danielle and family. Reading through what others have said about Gina I note the repeated testimony of her great hugs. The last time I saw Gina, I recall being struck by what a great hug she gave me - it was truly comforting and filled with Love. Although I had not seen Gina in many years I was instantly reminded of what a loving and genuinely kind person she was. I am reminded yet again - life is short. Rest in Peace, Gina. I know you are in Heaven living in eternal grace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For those of us you have left behind... “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” | Psalm 34:18

Gina was a one-of-a-kind person, and I feel so lucky to have had the chance to meet her and to call her my friend. You could always count on her for a story, she was the best chatter around, and could make you smile and laugh when you needed it. She was so sincere, oh so kind, and a wonderful designer. We started our journey at Prudential together, had many adventures--including our trip to LA, and now it really will not be the same without her. Sending love to all her family and friends, who she always spoke so fondly of.

I am heartbroken for your lost. I just watched the service through live stream. It was a beautiful service. As beautiful as Gina was and still is. One of the first memories that I had that came to mind when I heard the news of her passing was one of her many acts of kindness for those that she loved. When Gina was dating my brother Bill, she was driving from her parents house to my parents house on route 18. In the median of the northbound and southbound lanes she saw some beautiful wildflowers growing. Gina always seeing the beauty around her pulled her car over, ran into the median and picked the flowers, Then she ran back to her car and continued to drive to my parents house. When she got there she gave the wildflowers to my mother. When my mother asked where she got them she told us the story about pulling over on Route 18 etc...Here we were concerned that she could have been hit by a car. She told us that she was careful and she saw those flowers and had to share them with my Mom. Gina was a lovely person. Always thinking of others and wanting to share what was beautiful with those that she loved and cared about. We will love Gina forever. Gina until we meet again we will hold our love for you in our hearts.

Dear Sal, Danielle and Family. We are so sorry for your tragic loss. Gina will miss your love and kindness. My memories go back to when you were a baby always looking out for your pets. You would often look like you got into a cat fight with all your scratches. God is getting an amazing person to watch over his animals. I may not have been there to see you go through life's trials and tribulations but I know Gods incredible goodness shines through you. Rest in peace.

Dear Sal, Danielle, Mark, Ryan, and Sophia, We are so very sorry for your devastating loss. We met Gina more than 10 years ago when she was working at Costco. We liked her immediately, and our friendship grew from there. This past week as we drove into the Bronx, we felt Gina riding with us, chattering cheerfully as she does, laughing joyfully as she does, and oooh... pointing out things of interest as she does. Gina always brought along her delight and cheerfulness and sunniness. She was a joy to be with. But when she was down, we brought her our laughter to buoy her up until hers came back which it ALWAYS did. She had her trials and tribulations; she had her struggles. But she was never down for long. She was so courageous, so brave. She looked for the positive. She looked for the good in people. She kept on taking jobs that she did not necessarily love, but she kept on going until she finally got the job that she loved, which was as a graphic designer. She loved her family and especially adored her niece and nephew, Sophia and Ryan, always thinking about what would delight them for their birthdays and holidays. She loved travelling to New York to see her family. We also had a shared love of food, so (before Covid-19) she would come over for dinner: Chinese New Year, Mexican burritos, la cucina italiana (although none could compare to her darling mother's!), ribs, Japanese soba, and most of all, spicy Indian food with breads, sauces, chutneys and all the trimmings. We also loved to go out to the Tokyo Hibachi Sushi Buffet near her parents' home for our birthday celebrations. She loved to fill her plate up as we went back for seconds and thirds! We'd live it up and bring our own beer and wine, enjoying every single minute! When my husband had his stroke and then his 91 year old father who was living with us had his stroke a week later, Gina called and said "What can I do, what can I do?" I said you can come over and help me move his computer downstairs. As I was re-arranging the rooms for our new living situation, I made Gina sit in a chair (her wrists were bad) with her Covid mask on just chattering on and cheering me up, giving me love and energy. We were laughing through our tears. She was pure joy and love and generosity and giving fully of her heart unconditionally. Thank you dearest Gina. I'm glad she knew how grateful I was. She was always thanking us, but I'm glad she always knew how happy we were whenever we saw her. To our darling Gina, you have taken a part of our hearts with you. Watch over us as you have already this past week. We were going to ask you to design the birth announcement for our grandson who was born January 13, but now we have imagined you introducing yourself to Saint Peter and offering him your services as the next graphic designer for illustrating the process of entering the Pearly Gates. Rest in Peace. May you be surrounded by fat, furry, purring kittens, always. With love, Moshe and Diane.

My deepest condolences to Gina's family and all who knew and loved her. We worked together for several years - Gina was an incredible Designer and a very warm heart and a great sense of humor. One of my favorite memories is of one evening, we were both working late (our cubicles were next to each other) and Gina ran next door to the A&P to grab something to eat. She asked if I'd like anything and then returned about 10 minutes later with her pocketbook hanging from the crook of her arm - and right next to it were the handles to the A&P shopping basket that had her bagged items in it. When she reachd her desk to put her things down, we both looked at the basket and burst out laughing so hard, we were crying. She was deeply engrossed in her project and did not realize she was still carrying the basket. Our last communication was a simple happy new year wish to each other earlier this month on fb. I took for granted that there was always time. I am so deeply saddened by your unexpected passing - and so blessed to have known you.

Dearest Danielle, Almost one week ago you called me with crushing news that broke my heart. You told me that the girl I loved with a smile that lit up her face had left us and went to live with God. The girl that I discovered on my break at Costco, six years ago left us in the night. The girl that used the word SWEETIE, more times a day than anyone I have ever known, would only be saying that word inside my mind from memory. The girl that shared my love for animals wouldn’t be able to tell me any new stories. The girl that I would talk to late at night as she was cleaning up after all those kitty cats would not be chatting with me again. The girl that always offered words of encouragement to lift others spirits would not be able to make those calls anymore. The girl that I took to from the first time we met would not be able to share her life stories and loving words with me moving forward. The girl that called me, left voice mails and texts day after day when I was sick for 3 months with Covid-19 last year would not be leaving me more beautiful thoughts of love. Yes, most certainly THAT GIRL, that we both call GINA, is missed more than this note or ANY other could say. She was someone I respected, admired, cared for, laughed with, cried with, held close in my heart, and such an enormous presence of all that was beautiful both inside and out and THE GIRL that I will always LOVE, for all the days of my life. As I write this note to you crying, I need you to know just how much I am thankful for the years of friendship I had with your sister, Gina. My friend Gina, will stay in my mind as the day we met when she was ear to ear in smiles and I had no idea what an extreme force she would be in my life as we went through time. Danielle, I am so so very sorry. I am sadder than you know, and I miss her like you cannot imagine. You, your Dad, and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this most sad time, where I still cannot believe your phone call on January 20, 2021. Speechless Just having a real hard time missing THAT GIRL, that we call GINA ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Janelle Fantell ❤️❤️❤️❤️
