Roberto Carlos Rivera, 30, of Red Bank, New Jersey passed on Thursday, December 23rd surrounded by his loving family.
Roberto was born in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He graduated from Matawan High School in 2009, and shortly after earned his degree in Criminal Justice from Montclair State University in 2013. He was incredibly outgoing and lived life to the fullest taking advantage of every opportunity. His favorite place was his grandparents’ homeland of Puerto Rico, where he recently got married. He was fearless, enjoying activities like skateboarding, skiing and surfing. He had an infectious smile that lit up every room he walked into.
Roberto always put family first; it was the most important thing in his life. The one thing that he couldn’t wait for was starting his own family. He was a loving husband, brother, son and friend. He will be missed by all who were privileged to know him.
Roberto is survived by his loving wife, Alexandria of Red Bank; his sister Angelica Rivera of Red Bank; his parents Angel and Yamely Rivera of Freehold; and of course his precious Cockapoo and dear friend, Ricky.
Visitation for Roberto will be held Thursday, December 30th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, 549 County Rd 520, Marlboro. Our hearts are broken for the family. Strong prayers being given up to the Lord that somehow you can find a bit of peace in these trying days ahead. A child is a gift like no other. What a blessing he was to his family and friends.
