Arlene A. Massa, 81, of Freehold, passed away on Tuesday surrounded by her family.
Arlene was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she would graduate from her local high school and shortly after she would marry the love of her life, James, and the two would settle in Brooklyn. Arlene was a dedicated mother to her children but after they had grown, she would go to Dental Assistant school and started a career later in life, something she was very proud of.
Arlene enjoyed trips to Cape May and Cape Cod, crossword puzzles, always completing the New York Times, decorating her house, and having her family over for Christmas with her famous lasagna.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband James Massa; her children Marion Kamens and her husband Chuck, James Massa and his wife Christine, Annette Massa and Kelly Laino; her sister Annette Carlo; her grandchildren Jamielee, Robert, Lindsey, Nicholas, Jordan, Giavanna, Sydney, James and Isabella; and her great grandchildren Julianna, James, Anthony, Dominick, Thomas, Gabrielle, Robert and Brooklyn.
Visitation will be Friday, July 7th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. A mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, July 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 N Main Street, Marlboro. An entombment will follow at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum.
