Alan Richard Shareshian, 63, of Marlboro, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 12, 2024.
Alan was born in Jersey City and grew up in Middletown, where he graduated from Middletown North High School and then from Rutgers University. After college he would start his successful career in technology as a Computer Programmer for Dun & Bradstreet. He would then take a job for Rutgers University as an Application Developer, where he remained until today.
Alan would marry his best friend, Lisa, in 1999 and the two would move to Bridgewater, where they spent over 20 years together before settling in Marlboro 3 years ago. Alan was a known handyman around the house and ran a repair service center at Sears in memory of his father. He enjoyed comedy and cracking jokes, always bringing light and humor to the household. Alan loved the beach, namely trips to Caribbean Islands, and he enjoyed taking on new projects, building computers, listening to music and playing the guitar.
Alan is survived by his wife Lisa; his step-daughter Tess; his siblings Lynn, Jack and his wife Jennie, David and his wife Eva, Paul and his wife Susan, with many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 18th from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733. At the request of the family, Alan will be privately cremated following the service.
