Our beloved mother, grandmother and cherished friend passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5th, at her home, at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her loving children.
Barbara was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1941 to Sophie and Raymond Johnston. She dedicated her life to her family, becoming the heart of her home. She was known for her kindness, generosity and her loving spirit. She found joy in traveling, entertaining and spending time with her family. Her greatest pride was her children and grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, Sophie and Raymond and her beloved younger brother, Raymond Jr., Barbara is survived by her son, Robert Bennett (Debra), her daughter, Kristine Gutierrez (Nicholas) and her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Christopher, Julia and Jenna.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association Donate to Alzheimer’s Disease Research or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children. Online Donations – St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
