Elaine Doris Macaluso, 78 of Monmouth Beach, died Wednesday, August 6th at Monmouth Medical Center. Elaine was born and raised in Newark, where she graduated from Weequahic High School. She later graduated from Upsala College in East Orange. She was a Retired Administrator for the Small Business Administration, (SBA), Newark after many years. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Sherri Salomon-DeVaul, Hackettstown, NJ and Holly and her husband Jeffery Wrightstown, Long Branch; her three grandchildren, Ari, Ashley and Anthony. My sincere condolences. I so enjoyed Elaine's memories of the old Newark. Her laugh was wonderful. She surely appreciated my limited knowledge of Yiddish. I am so sorry that I cannot attend the services Saturday. She will be missed.
