What a beautiful remembrance of Gary and his family, a celebration of life, as he lived it fully. In this light, we'd like to share our memories of Gary & Di, that remind us of the fun we had with food and wine. We were lucky enough to enjoy Gary's famous Bolognese sauce that he labored over and cooked for hours, accompanied by a fine, Italian wine from his cellar. The four of us didn't talk much while enjoying the pasta, yet once the wine set in, we laughed for hours. We were also introduced to Mojitos, and don't recall the accompanying food, but sure remember the laughter and fun. Two years ago, we introduced an appetizer from Genoa to Gary and Di and they were so much fun to appreciate one of our favorite dishes: grilled artichokes, Genovese Pesto, and Tallegio cheese. The final foodie memory is showing Gary & Di the Passata Pizza sauce we used for home-made pizza, and Gary remarked in his usual, out-of-the box way, "Hey, Di, wouldn't this sauce make great Bloody Mary's?" Brilliant! He will surely be missed. We were looking forward to their visit to CA to visit the Central Coast Wineries, so we will be sending some to you to share with family and toast Gary so he can share too. Love, Bernadette & Mark

Gary, You will be missed more than you can imagine. As an older brother you taught me what family means. As my best friend, you taught me about life and made me see things in ways I only could through your eyes. You inspired me in more ways than you can imagine. Will miss you now, but will see you later. Rest easy, Gil

I am so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. I recall a few years back, he and Michael had a really enjoyable evening discussing music, books and history and maybe a drink or two. Gary made sure to seek me out the next time we met to mention that to me, and even seemed a little disappointed Mike wasn't there for that event. A special person no longer with us, but lasting memories. Peace to all the family.
