Jim was an earnest, kind, and compassionate man with a heart bigger than most. He was everything that a man should strive to be. Rest in peace, Jim.
Robert Wigod left a message on July 5, 2025:
I remember Jimmy and I, as children, exploring the woods of Silas Condict Park together, collecting duck eggs around the pond behind his house and catching frogs. Fishing all summer, collecting chestnuts in the fall, and ice skating on Hoot Owl Pond come Christmas. My fondest memories as a child were playing with Jimmy, Doug, Bill and Chip, all the kids from Cherry Tree Lane. Jimmy is the first of my earliest friends to return to the Lord. I lost touch with my childhood friends later in life, and can only imagine the family's loss, but Jimmy and his father Harry have remained with me across the years. I wise woman once taught me grief is the price we pay for love. Every tear will be dried. God bless the Hicks family.
