Ms. Campbell was my high school history teacher in Monroe. I didn’t understand it at the time, but she recognized that our curriculum didn’t include the history of Asian Americans and she went out of her way to introduce me to the work of Ronald Takaki and other Asian authors and historians. I was one of 4 Asian Americans in my graduating class of 204. Looking back I am so deeply grateful that she saw me and saw that my history was important too. This kindness made a lasting impact on my life.

Sending my condolences to the entire Campbell family. The Campbell’s have always been a part of our family since we first met them Lincroft. I have many wonderful memories of sharing in special times with Mr. and Mrs. Campbell and the Campbell family during all the important events in my life. Mrs. Campbell always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say to me. I often spoke to her about teaching and I’m sure she was a wonderful teacher as she was truthfully a wonderful person, always kind and sweet to everyone. She will missed by many…. Love to you all! 32 years ago we moved to lincroft NJ. Janice was one of the first neighbors I met only to discover that we live right next door to her and her beautiful family. It is with a saddened heart that I learn of her passing. I always enjoyed her company snd most of all her vibrant smile. She is resting now and at peace looking down upon her loved ones. Her presence will never be forgotten💔❤️
Jeff & Patty Scales left a message on December 25, 2021:
It was with deep sadness to have learned of the passing of such a beautiful, kind and inspiring woman. Janice inspired us both to cherish our faith and learn to share this deep understanding with our students and RCIA candidates. "Just be you and share your gifts with your students" is the kind of guidance that was just so natural with Janice. Having had the opportunity to witness this love for our savior was evident in the grand-twins in their classroom participation and guidance from their Grandmother. She was so proud! Rest in peace our dear friend.
Felix Menezes left a message on December 25, 2021:
Dear Richie, It is with a heavy heart that I write to you as we are deeply saddened to hear the news of your dear wife Janice. Please accept our deepest sympathies on this grave loss. I remember meeting Janice for the first time at your home, she was truly so motherly, warm and caring and immediately made me feel as part of your family. It is so hard to loose such a devoted, loving, caring wife and soul mate specially during these times of trial and despair. I can only imagine the deep sense of grief and loss that you must be experiencing right now. We pray that Janice's soul rests in the eternal peace of the Risen Lord. We pray that our Lord grant you and your family the strength and fortitude to hear this great loss and separation. May you find comfort in the fact that Janice continues to live on in the minds and hearts of the many, many people she touched at school, church and organizations that she was part of. More importantly you now have Janice interceding for you and the family in heaven. Yours in Grief, Felix Menezes
Francoise and Patrick Kielty left a message on December 24, 2021:
With what silent footsteps does death come. Janice spoke to Francoise only a few days before passing away, as we've learned just today. She said that she was thinking of us and just wanted to say hello. She mentioned being ill but said not a word about the gravity of her illness. Living across the street from us in in Belford, we knew Janice and Richard for years as neighbors and friends, as they raised their wonderful family. Each year that we came back to Belford, we always stopped in to see them at their beautiful new home in Lincroft, and one year Janice and Richard came to visit us in Beaugency. We delighted in Janice's loving and cheerful personality, her love for history and her great devotion and love for her children, her children's spouses and her grandchildren. Though we are far away, we always kept Janice in our thoughts and will forever be thankful for having had the joy of having known her. We send our most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Richard, his children and grandchildren, and all their loved ones.

First off my condolences to Scott, Allison, Laura and Rich. I remember in 1984 the Campbells had recently moved to our development in Lincroft and Scott and I were frequently playing sports together every day outside in the neighborhood with other kids. And One day I saw picked a piece of jewelry in the street and wasn’t sure what it was and I handed it to Scott I said I don’t know who’s it says but it’s in front of your house. He brought it to his mom and it was apparently some Valuable piece of jewelry that was dropped unfortunately. And a few days later I was getting together to do something with Scott and Scott said my mother would like to speak with you and I went inside and Janice said “I have two good pieces of news for you number one you’re gonna be going to thei Yankees game with us against the Kansas City Royals it was on a bus charter with the paulsens who were family friends of theirs and number two this is for you and she handed me a $20 bill which was all the money in the world to me at the time. Such a nice family who always had kids over the house. So sorry for your loss guys. She was a gem
