Joan J. Loshiavo, 88, of Old Bridge, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in Colts Neck, NJ. Joan was the beloved wife of Vincent Loshiavo for 43 years before his passing on May 2, 2000. Joan was the loving mother of Stephen (Laura) and Richard (Lisa) Loshiavo; cherished Grandmother of Samantha Loshiavo (Michael Marsdale), Jessica Loshiavo (Mike Sevalls), Lauren Loshiavo (Shane McGovern), Stephen Tyler Loshiavo (Nicole), Jennifer Joan Loshiavo (Shane McGuiness); and treasured Great Grandmother of Warren Michael Marsdale. She is also survived by Sal and Camilla Cangialosi and family.

Joan was born in Brooklyn, NY, before meeting the love of her life, Vincent, a recently discharged U.S. Army veteran. The couple were married in Brooklyn and settled in Staten Island. Joan worked as a legal secretary for Hall & Thompson LLP, as well as Giordano law firm in NYC, from which she retired. Joan was  a member of the “Daughters of Shalalie” and loved traveling the world with her girlfriends, shopping, playing cards, and New Year’s Eve pajama parties with her grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held 4pm to 8pm Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at the Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Thursday, at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ 07722.  Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Holmdel, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s name may be made to VNA Hospice, No Limits Cafe in Middletown, NJ or Blue Dot Community in Belmar, NJ.
