Kathryn C. Trost 77, of Colts Neck passed away Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in East Orange, Kathryn resided in Ramsey prior to moving to Colts Neck 35 years ago. Kathryn graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Teaching Degree and Seton Hall University with a Master's Degree. She worked for various consumer product companies such as Pepperidge Farm, where she was as a Food Analyst and Writer, Colgate Palmolive, where she was the Manager of Special Projects, and Good Housekeeping, where she was an Associate Publisher. Mrs. Trost was a member of the Colts Neck Historical and Preservation Committee, the Colts Neck Firemans Fair Committee, and was elected to Who's Who of Colts Neck in 1982. Mrs. Trost was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Colts Neck. She was predeceased by her parents Francis and Kathryn Crouchley, husband Joseph Trost. Surviving is her sister Veronica Ann McTague, of Spring Lake, NJ and three nieces, Sharon L. Hart, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, Suzanne V. Kanary, of Washington, PA, and Moira F. Scholl, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 9:00AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Colts Neck. Interment will be in St. Catharine's Cemetery in Wall.
