Kay L. Epifano, 65 of Oakhurst passed away peacefully Wednesday surrounded by her family at home. Mrs. Epifano was a private care taker for the elderly for over 20 years. She was a member of the Board of Trustees of the West Long Branch Community Center. She will always be remembered as a loving Wife, Mother, Grammie, Sister and Friend. Surviving is her husband, Nicholas W. Epifano; three daughters and two sons in law, Patricia & Richard Geiger, Tinton Falls, Nicola & Jason Armbrust, Oakhurst, Kelly Epifano and her fiance Ray Preston, Keansburg; three step daughters & their husbands, Theresa & Salvatore Guazzo, Toms River, Michelle & Robert Gidosh, Tinton Falls, Jeanette & Keith Mac Donald, Middletown; two brothers, Clifford Letts, Oakhurst, Jesse Letts, Jackson Twp.; a sister, Sara Letts, Glassboro; two grandsons Jaxon Armbrust, Brandon Geiger; seven step grandchildren; her Godson Christopher Letts; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell St. at Broadway, Long Branch. Funeral service will be 9:30 AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. I met Kay about 11 years ago, when she was asked by my family to help with the care of our elderly mother. Kay was a god-sent to us. Her sweet, caring way of giving assistance to our mother was beyond all expectations. Thru the years we met many times at the WLB Community Center where, here again, she was always helping out.
