Marilyn G. Boucher, 86, of Elberon, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Marilyn was born and raised in Cranston, Rhode Island to the late John and Irene Grady. After attending Cranston High School, she went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in education from Rhode Island College and a master’s degree in education from Boston College. She worked as both a grade school teacher and a Learning Consultant. Her 61-year marriage to her beloved husband, Paul Boucher, began in 1963 and three children followed shortly thereafter. They moved to Ocean Township in 1967, where they have resided since. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Michael’s Parish in Long Branch, New Jersey. She volunteered with Stephen Ministry and Hospice providing comfort to those in need.
Marilyn is remembered by family and friends for both her compassion and her intellect. She always took time to listen and provide advice and acted as an information resource for various topics. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, you could find her curled up with a good book or traveling with her husband Paul.
She is predeceased by her parents and her brother, John (Jack) Grady.
Marilyn is survived by her husband Paul Boucher; daughter Karen Boucher of Oaklyn, New Jersey; daughter and son-in-law Diane and Vincent Radice of Randolph, New Jersey; son and daughter-in-law Edward and Medina Boucher of Herndon, Virginia; and loving grandchildren Paul, Gabrielle, Abigail, Leila, and Ilayda.
Visitation Wednesday, April 9, 10:00 am – 11:15 am at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 12:00 pm at St. Michael’s RC Church, 800 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch.
