Peter S. Falvo, Jr. 81, died peacefully Monday December 18 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. A true Monmouth County native, Peter was born in Long Branch, NJ and continued to reside in the area his entire life. From an early age, Peter exuded true strength and perseverance after a life altering diagnosis of Polio. He never let his physical limitations hinder his ability to well exceed everyone’s expectations.
After attending and graduating St Anslem College (Manchester, NH) and Suffolk Law (Boston, MA), he began his illustrious legal career which spanned more than 50 years. A dapper, well-dressed man, he relished in the details, never leaving the house without a crisp suit, pocket square and fedora. He epitomized what it meant to be a true class act. Peter founded and grew his own law firm and for the past 22 years has been a partner at the law firm of Ansell, Grimm and Aaron specializing in Land Use. Peter was known as a loyal and dedicated colleague- making an immediate positive impact not only at work but with everyone he met.
In 1962 Peter met his wife and life partner Christine. He and Chris spent their marriage traveling the world, leaving no stone or golf course unturned. An avid golfer of 40 years, when in doubt they could always be found at their beloved Deal Country Club surrounded by their adored friends.
An active member in the community, Peter chaired the Land Use and Development Board of the Monmouth County Bar Association and was the former chairman of the board of directors of Jersey Shore Medical Center, where he remained active until his passing.
Peter is predeceased by his parents Peter and Susie (Sirianni) Falvo. Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Christine (McKenna) Falvo; loving daughter Sheridan Falvo of Scotch Plains; His brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Kathy Falvo; his adored grandchildren, Daniel and his wife Kristin Falvo, Nicholas Larcom, Dante and Peter Mason Falco; cherished great-grand son, James Joseph; his nephews, Matthew, Kevin and Gregory and many wonderful cousins.
