Richard Seninsky, 72, of Oceanport, passed away peacefully on February 20 at Riverview Medical Center. Born in Hackensack to the late Lucille Delit and Mel Seninsky, Rich was raised in Cliffside Park, where his lifelong talent for repairing anything electrical or mechanical first became evident. As a teenager, he worked his way through high school …

Ernesto Chavez left a message on March 10, 2026:
Rich Seninsky will always be remembered by me as someone who was genuinely kind, dependable, and generous with his time. During the years I knew Rich, he was always willing to help whenever I ran into a problem. No matter how busy he was, he would return my calls — even after hours — just to make sure I was taken care of. That kind of dedication is rare, and it spoke volumes about the type of person he was. Rich taught me so much. He shared his knowledge of game repair with patience and encouragement, but the lessons he gave went far beyond technical skills. He showed me what true customer service looks like — how to treat people with respect, how to listen, how to speak kindly, and how to step in with a helping hand when someone needs it most. The way Rich carried himself made a lasting impression on me. He didn’t just fix machines; he helped people, supported them, and made their lives a little easier. I will always be grateful for the time I knew him, the guidance he gave me, and the example he set. He will be deeply missed and warmly remembered.

While I only knew Rich for a short time, he openly welcomed me to the Coastal Amusements team. He worked extremely hard even during the most difficult of times to make things better and continue solving other people's technical issue's. May every day forward be a sunny powder day my friend.

In Memory of Rich I’ve known Rich since the 1970s, when he was operating games at Bob Falk’s Fun City USA in Keansburg, NJ. Years later, our paths crossed again at Coastal Amusements, where we worked side-by-side supporting amusement games placed around the world — from family entertainment centers like Chuck E. Cheese and Dave & Buster’s to cruise ships. Together we answered customer calls, walked operators through troubleshooting, and repaired electronics at the component level — often under a microscope, bringing surface-mount boards back to life. Rich was skilled, patient, and dedicated to doing the job right. I’ll miss working with him and the conversations that came with the work. Rest in peace, my friend.

Richard was always there in Sport Land fixing pinball machines when we were in high school together, I would stop in to see him after a swim in the pool at Palisade Amusement Park. One day he told me, "I have fixed myself out of a job so now I am going to fix them to break!" He had that dry sense of humor so I wasn't always sure if he was kidding or not...but the twinkle in his eye and the corner of his mouth with start to curl up and I knew he was joking....still not sure on this. God Bless you Richard. You were a pleasure to know and all my sympathies to your family and lovely wife Marci. With Love, Loretta

So sorry to hear about the passing of Rich! He was a really nice kindhearted guy. I remember the one time, Rich, my Father, Gary, and myself had gone to Asbury to spend some time playing pinball at the Silverball. We went to lunch on the and talked about pinball and arcade games. Him and my dad are definitely somewhere playing pinball together. Sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Rich! He will be missed!

Ritchie was a good guy to be around. That is unless you were an unruly teen climbing over the arcade machines at Long Branch. Then he’d zing you with something like “Hey kid! Do I go over to YOUR house and climb all over the furniture? Then get off and quit doing it!” We will miss him! David & Dee Rosenberg

Having been friends with Richie for more than thirty years, I could not help be impressed by many things about him. His kindness, His loyalty, His devotion to family. His business acumen. Always willing to lend a helping hand. His analytical mind and his wry sense of humor were always at the forefront. He always showed a an appreciation for living. But I think what impressed me the most was how he conducted himself in the past two years of living with unimaginable suffering. He lived those two years in the same way he always lived... With grace, dignity and as much normalcy as possible. Without complaint, he woke early and went to work without complaint, even as he endured test after test and with constant pain. That is a testament to who he was. All along with his loving family by his side. Marcie, Alex & Mitchell, I offer my condolences. He will always be missed. -Ari

Toward the end of our Rider College day,s, Marcie and Richie joined a great group of our close friends at my parents' house on Long Island. It was a long drive for just about everyone, but there they were. Richie was instantly likable - warm, sort spoken, and clearly a perfect match for Marcie. While I spent very little time with Richie over the decades, whenever we were together, he was always the same as when we first met - a kind, special guy with amazing entrepreneurial stories, and one of my favorite Rider friends on his arm. Tammy and I send our deepest condolences to the entire Seninsky family. May his memory be a blessing.
