Russell W. Goyette, 67 of Waretown, formerly of Monmouth Beach passed away, Tuesday August 3rd at the Community Medical Center, Toms River. Mr. Goyette was born in Elizabeth and had lived in Linden before moving to Monmouth Beach in 1986. In 2003 he moved to Waretown. He was a graduate of Seton Hall Prep and was graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Goyette retired in 1998 from Gigante Vaz & Partners, N.Y.C. as a Vice-President of Business Development. Previously he had worked for Lorillard Corp. and Paddington Importers. Mr. Goyette was a communicant of The Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach and St. Mary's RC Church of Barnegat. He is survived by his wife Suzanne Klauder Goyette; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Melissa and Rodney Orndorff, Elkton, Va., Nicole and Keith Billinglsey, Asburn, Va. and Claire Goyette, Waretown; his sister, Sister Jeanne Goyette, O.P., Verona, NJ; three grandchildren, Holly, Margaret and Catherine. Visitation will be Friday August 6, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday August 7th, 10:00 AM at The Church of the Precious Blood, 72 Riverdale Avenue, Monmouth Beach. Those wishing may make contributions in Russell's memory to Ocean County College, Nursing Program, College Drive, Box 2001, Toms River, NJ 08754-2001,732-255-0400 x 2358. My memories of Russ are quite vivid as we were in the same freshman class and seemed to wind up together as we wound our way through "The Prep" together. Grant & Gouyette placed us together alphabetically if nothing else did.
