Shirley C. Santanelli, 84 of Long Branch passed away Sunday April 29th at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank with her family at her side. Mrs. Santanelli was born in Red Bank and lived most of her life in Long Branch. She was a Communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Christ the King Parish, Long Branch. She worked as a Budget Analyst in the Accounting and Finance Department at Fort Monmouth for many years before retiring. Mrs. Santanelli was pre-deceased by her husband, Vincent Santanelli in 1979 and her son-in-law Frank Juliano in 2003. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra Juliano, Little Silver and Jody and Robert Oakes, Freehold; brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Peggy Connolly, Barnegat; sister Dorothy Connolly, Brick Twp.; five grandchildren, Billy, Christopher, Carley, Frankie and Brian. Visitation will be Thursday May 3rd, 3 to 7 pm at the Woolley Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. Funeral mass will be offered, Friday May 4th, 9:30 am at Star of the Sea Church, Corner of Chelsea and Second Avenue, Long Branch. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. Nannie, you are the best grandmother ever. You did everything for us, and I mean EVERYTHING. Thank you for help raising me while Mom was sick and in the hospital. Thank you for all the times you stayed overnight with me while Mom and Dad were away. Thank you for taking me to Blockbuster, Toys R Us, and for the best eggs the morning after I slept over. I love you so much, and I'm so sorry that work, school, and my horse stopped me from seeing you as much as possible. I love you so much, I couldn't have asked for a better grandmother. I really wish you got to meet Ivan; we will make you proud. I love you forever and always, and there will never be a day that I don't think about you. Rest Easy
