Timothy Mark Neher, 65, of Holmdel, passed away on Monday.

Timothy was born and raised in Camby, Indiana. He graduated from Decatur Central High School. He then attended Vincennes University followed by Indiana State University, from where he graduated. Following his graduation, Timothy married the love of his life, Theresa and accepted his first job in Newark, NJ. The two would move to New Jersey, where they made their life and raised their family.

Timothy was a lifelong fisherman, skier, and golfer. He was active in his church, where he was ordained as a Deacon and was Property Chair. He coached his children’s basketball, softball teams and boy scouts. Tim adored the memories he created with his family at their shore home in South Seaside Park, where they spent many summers crabbing, clamming, and fishing together. Timothy was an avid walker and loved to pound pavement at Bell Works, Cross Farms Park, and around the Jersey Shore. Timothy also attended the Indianapolis 500 every year for 56 years, a tradition he shared with his father and his son.

Timothy is predeceased by his mother Nancy.

Timothy is survived by his wife of 42 years Theresa; his children Tyler and Tally; his father Charles and his wife Alice; his sister Shelley Lambert and her husband Rick; and many loving cousins.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 17th from 9:30 AM- 12:30 PM with a service at 12:30 PM at Matawan First Presbyterian Church, 883 NJ-34, Matawan, NJ. At the family’s request Timothy will be privately cremated following the service.
